THE CROSS OF THE MASTER
At the time of the greatest libertarian revolutions in history, Vicente Vieira, a Portuguese man, returns to Pernambuco to honor his father's last wishes. But when he arrives, his father has already died, leaving many debts. The worst and most troubling of them soon reveals itself: Vicente will have to take up the debt with a supernatural being, who claims the right to take the soul of the Vieira heir to hell.
While constructing a masonry column – The Cross of the Master - to be a beacon for large ships, Vicente Vieira finds himself in a desperate situation, trying to face all the challenges and consequences of taking on a debt that doesn't belong to him. Revealing love and fidelity for his father, he sets out to create artifices to set his father and himself free from this curse. The Cross of the Master becomes the symbol of the agreements between man and the supernatural, the connection between good and evil, and the point of return and departure for the characters' fates.
The Cross of The Master is a real monument, erected in the port of Recife, in Pernambuco, and has for centuries carried the reputation of being in the most haunted place of Brazil.

NOSTALGIA OF MY FATHER
Nostalgia of My Father tells the stories of Jonas - an ordinary man, a family man, who got involved with alcohol. Memories of him were revived by his relatives and friends and organized into a book by his son.
A fragmented biography that shows the comedic moments of his youth and family life, his personal dramas, his fights and hard moments, and his concern about the education of his children. These are the details of a man who could be any one of us, a man who didn't let himself be defeated by the hardships of life, but who fought and made his mark in the family's heart.
The reader will be attracted by the protagonist's striking features and feel captivated by the simple things: his acts of courage, his character and determination, and the moral values of a man of the people.
This is a book to make you reflect on the details of life.
THE PATIENT OF DR. VAN LINDEN
Renowned hepatologist Abel Van Linden has just arrived in New York when he's summoned to London to treat a peculiar patient: Salomon, a man with a monstrous visage and a mysterious terminal illness. As Dr. Van Linden prepares to perform surgery to save this patient’s life, however, he hears Salomon’s whole story, and all his moments of anguish, suffering, and terror. Abandoned by his father after his mother died in childbirth, Salomon is raised in an orphanage, hidden from other people. With no social life and no knowledge of the world, Salomon, as a child, begins to develop his gift: painting. Salomon's talent eventually catches the attention of the ambitious millionaire Edward Shellen, who enslaves him in order to sign and sell Salomon's masterpieces as his own. It’s Shellen, with the help of a mysterious woman, who finds that it's necessary for Salomon to ingest fresh, healthy human liver to keep his disease at bay. As the story progresses, Dr. Van Linden realizes that this monstrous man isn’t a simple victim. Under the influence of his arts tutor, Salomon becomes a disturbed psychopath who, when he falls in love with Shellen’s fiancée, becomes a true monster. To obtain her love, Salomon kills people to devour their livers. With each liver eaten, Salomon becomes physically healthier and stronger while, at the same time, his values are lost.

THE KARATE WEIRDO
At the age of 12, Alicia Oliveira navigates life on the autistic spectrum, finding solace in the constant presence of her father and the comfort of her headphones. Her only companions are Willy, a betta fish, and Illona, a schoolmate who is soon relocating to Florida. As Alicia grapples with feelings of isolation, she faces the misunderstanding of her peers and the bullying inflicted by Elida and her friends, who label her as "WEIRDO." The situation worsens when her school performance declines, prompting her to retreat further into her own world to escape her distress, concealing her struggles even from her father, who endeavors to support her.
A turning point occurs when Yoshida, a Karate master battling a serious illness, enters her life, leading to the development of a meaningful friendship. Following yet another incident of humiliation at school, Alicia heeds her father's advice and begins her Karate training.
Gradually, this ancient martial art, designed for those who seek to defend themselves rather than engage in conflict, empowers Alicia with increased self-confidence, focus, and self-awareness. It enables her to recognize her strengths and weaknesses while imparting the understanding that true victory is not achieved through brute force, but through character and intellect. This lesson profoundly transforms her life and her perception of herself in relation to others.
